President’s Message
"Welcome to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of UNICO. It is my privilege to serve as the current President and work with my brothers to touch people's lives. We live the Christmas spirit with a shopping event for 100 to 125 disadvantaged children every year, allowing them to purchase presents for their families or, if orphaned, to buy the personal daily necessities and comforts we all take for granted. At Thanksgiving, we put together turkey baskets for families in need that are distributed by UNICO brothers or the Sisters of The Sacred Heart. We provided permanent scholarship funding for both high school and collage educations in the greater Philadelphia area. UNICO also offers a helping hand to people whose lives have been devastated due to medical issues or the death of a bread winner. These circumstances have often bankrupt families, leaving them with no resource for food or other necessities. The good that UNICO does in the community with the help of our sponsors, supporters, and brothers truly makes a difference in peoples lives.”
